I am Hongwu Wang from Peking University. My research focuses on humanoid whole-body motion control and whole-body manipulation, with an emphasis on building robot systems that can coordinate perception, planning, control, and physical interaction in real-world tasks. I work as a full-stack robotic engineer across mechanical structure design, motion control, and perception-driven closed-loop systems.

I am Hongwu Wang, a robotic engineer from HIT and Peking University. My research interests include whole-body motion control for humanoid robots and whole-body loco-manipulation.
About
A robotic researcher focused on humanoid whole-body control and manipulation.
Selected Work
Projects and research.
BifrostUMI
A learning framework for humanoid whole-body manipulation: it learns from robot-free human demonstrations, then transfers skills to robot execution through spatial keypoint retargeting and whole-body control.
View projectCollision-Aware Object-Goal Navigation
A study on object-goal visual navigation that introduces collision-aware evaluation metrics and a two-stage deep reinforcement learning framework, encouraging navigation policies to pursue success while explicitly avoiding collisions.
Read paperBi-Level RL Control for Underactuated Blimps
A reinforcement learning control framework for underactuated blimps with center-of-mass reconfiguration, improving tracking accuracy, robustness, and sim-to-real transfer under compact hardware constraints.
Read paperThor Avata
A robotic avatar project currently in preparation. More details will be shared soon.
